Heavy rains lash Mumbai, several schools ask students to stay home....





 -The Brihanmumbai Muncipal Corporation(BMC) have asked people not to step out of their houses unless absolutely necessary,as heavy rains are predicted in mumbai in the next 72 hours.....


  -Children were sent back home as several muncipal and private schools were shut for a day.
   According to television reporters,Mumbai's Colaba area has so far recorded 158.6 miniliteres of rain in last 20 hours,while Santacruz area has recorded 168.6 minilitres of rain since tuesday.
   The temperature of Mumbai has dipped to a minimum of 22 degree celsius due to continues rainfall.
   Meteorological department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in next 48 hours. It has also predicted heavy rainfall along the konkan zone in next 60 hours.
   Train services of Central Railway are running around 30 minutes behind schedule while there is heavy trafffic at Thane-Mulund toll naka and road leading towards Eastern express highway from Airoli.
   Traffic is also reported to be moving at a snail's pace on the western and astern express highway.
